Fundamentos Web 2006

Introduction

What is it?

The second edition of Fundamentos Web brings together international experts on Web design with standards, who offer attendants an overview of the Web from a technical and social perspective. The experts' point of view gives the chance to talk about new aspects of the Web.

Where?

In Oviedo, Asturias (Spain).

When?

The event is held on October 3-5, 2006.

Some talks and debates will take place on October 3^rd and 4^th (Tuesday and Wednesday). A workshop will take place on October, 5^th (Thursday).

How?

The 3^rd and 4^th of October (Tuesday and Wednesday) talks and debates about varied subjects related to Web design and social aspects of the Web will be offered .

The 5^th of October, Thursday, will be held a workshop on Advanced Web Design with CSS, given by two internationally renowned experts: Molly E. Holzschlag and Andy Clarke, entitled "Designing for Web 2.0"

Simultaneous translation will be offered for the talks and debates (October 3-4). The workshop (October 5), is given in English.

Also, attendants will be able to connect to Internet and recharge their electronic device batteries.

Why?

The Web has become an essential tool in our life, and their effects affect society today. Most of our activities are done through the Web, so that, demand for faster, more interoperable and more reliable Web applications to satisfy our needs, is growing.

Web design with standards provides the base required to create dynamic and efficient applications which carry out a communication and an accessible information exchange everywhere, anytime, and using any device.
