What is it?
This third edition of Fundamentos Web brings the opportunity of seeing live relevant figures of Web design with standards in the national and international field. The goal of this event is to give participants the possibility of listening to these experts' opinions about the Web from a technical and social perspective, aspects of great interest for the whole Web community.
Where?
At the Palacio de Congresos (Feria Internacional De Muestras de Asturias), in Gijón, Asturias (Spain).
The exact place can be consulted in the venue section, where you can find information about how to get there, nearest airports, and useful remarks about public transports.
When?
From 3rd to 5th October 2007.
How?
Simultaneous interpreting for the 3rd and 4th will be provided, but it will not be offered for the Workshop (5th, Friday), which will be given in English.
Attendants will have at their disposal Internet conection and equipped areas for recharging mobile device batteries.
Coffees and lunches between the conferences, served by the organizers, are included in the prices.
Why?
The Web has become an indispensable tool for most of our daily life. A Web which is increasingly inviting the user to become an active part in its evolution. The active participation of the society in the Web growth creates the need of having easier, faster and more attractive and interoperable applications, which is triggering the fast arising of technologies and mechanisms, and, thus, making the Web grow to limits that were unthinkable a few years ago.
The great variety of devices which allow accessing the Web nowadays (mobile phones, handset devices, videogames consoles, laptop computers, voice browsers, and so on), added to the heterogeneous preferences and limitations of the different users in different environments increases the need of improving the technologies which help developing the Web. Knowing these needs and their origin is the objective that leads us to gather experts on Web design in this international conference.
